Pretty Friday. Kitchen Workspace

Happy Friday!  March break has officially begun and that deserves a great, big, holla!  Say it with me now, holla!

Awesome.

With all of the kitchen workspace/desk/office (whichever you prefer to call it) talk this week, I figured it would be fitting to have a workspace/desk/office for today's Pretty Friday space.

I found there to be something so absolutely calming about this space.  The light fabric, the white cabinets, the windows, just all so lovely.

I spoke to the builder and made a few changes to our original design plan but we've decided to go for it.  It is a space that will most definitely be utilized by our family, a lot.  I can not wait to see the sketches and to see it all in place and to get a desktop computer, wahoo!  I'm currently leaning towards a small drawer with a cupboard on either side for the bottom.  Which do you think you'd prefer? All drawers, or a small drawer and then a cupboard beneath?  I'm trying to think of what we'd be putting in there, it'll mainly be paperwork, the kids current school work and then the top drawers could hold the office supplies.  I figured it would be easier to organize the papers in a cupboard but perhaps not?  Maybe we could do the same as the photo above, deep drawers for file folders?  Hmmm.  I also love the look of the cupboard over the drawers.  Suppose I'll wait for those sketches.

Anyhow, have a fabulous weekend, friends!  I have another fun CL posting coming soon that I'm really looking forward to sharing with you.

Giddy up! March break is here!

Cheers,

Do you think a filing system would fit in a cupboard? Even if it was one of those lame-o briefcase style filing thingies? Because that might be nice - to have one side for filing bills/mail/invoices/receipts etc and the other side for maybe art supplies etc (stored in clear plastic bins?). I think having the cupboards will give you more flexibility, but having the drawers for the frequent use items (letter opener, markers, etc) would be good.
